A Message from the JHMPI Co-Directors

Evolving Professional Medical Development for a Changing Future

For more than a decade, the Johns Hopkins Medicine Philanthropy Institute has engaged and inspired over 300 alumni through the Hopkins Way, advancing a culture of grateful patient fundraising nationally and globally.

As our profession evolves amid unprecedented pressures in healthcare, JHMPI is adapting to better serve our community and prepare colleagues for the future. Over the coming year, we will more directly engage our alumni through a new series of virtual learning sessions, while we reimagine and redesign the in-person Institute for August 2027.

As we move through this transition, we will pause the 2026 Summer Institute. We look forward to sharing more information about the 2027 Summer Institute soon.

In the months ahead, we invite you to participate in upcoming virtual sessions covering topics such as principal gifts, resilient leadership, digital storytelling, and practical applications of AI beyond thank-you letters.

We are grateful to welcome several new leaders to our leadership team.

Joining as Co-Directors with Michael Hibler, Alex Brown, VP for the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Jenine Rabin, Executive Vice President for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Joining Ellen Greco and Kathy White in Program leadership, Megan Ward, Executive Director for the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine, Madison Mangum, Assistant Director for the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine.
